This version of rt-setup adds: - initial cut at firmware download handling for drivers - change to kdump script (rt-setup-kdump) to remove location specifier to kernel command lines (the "@16" in crashkernel argument)
At least for the 2.6.24.7-139, the crashkernel kernel cmdline needs a @32M to work. Moving back to ASSIGNED as this package must be fixed to avoid introducing regressions to where @16M might work.
Updated rt-setup-1.6-3.el5rt made available for testing
Tested rt-setup-1.6-3.el5rt. This behaves correctly and adds the proper crashkernel argument on all kernel-rt entries in the grub config. Booting with crashkernel=128M@32M and doing service kdump start works as expected. [root@ibm-hs22-02 ~]# cat /proc/cmdline ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 console=ttyS1,115200 rhgb quiet crashkernel=128M@32M [root@ibm-hs22-02 ~]# service kdump start Starting kdump: [ OK ] [root@ibm-hs22-02 ~]#
