It looks like the fault may lie with the python-xlib package.

Let me ask you if there is any other application (package) in order to control my sound blaster live audio card ? I used to login to the Gnome version, but once I checked the KDE one, I noticed that there is a very good sound mixer for my sound card. Is there any corresponding solution for the Gnome ?

Do you want to try a patched python-xlib package?

I am not an experienced user in Linux and I don't understand a lot of things to the moment. I must buy some books to learn Linux. I don't know how to try this patch. Anyway, I don't have any real problem. Thanks a lot for your interest.

Thanks for the patch references.

Committing and building now. Should have patch 0.14 package in updates-testing on next repository push.

Note also that ive moved rawhide to the 0.15rc1 release.

I use Gmixer 1.3 and I noticed that it doesn't remember any regulations I make. Every time I login , I have to regulate it again. Any solution ?

Sorry folks. It seems I forgot to include this ticket into the update-testing request that I pushed prior to my trip to the end of the earth. So the fix for this has been sitting in updates-testing for a while now...but no one on this ticket knew about it to give it positive karma and cause it to automatically move to stable.
Here's the original update system entry:

Are you getting a traceback similar to the original reporter? Without looking at some error messaging or a traceback it will be difficult to understand if this is the same problem as originally reported or something different.
