Description Matt Brodeur 2009-11-16 18:03:42 UTC
Description of problem:
The latest fence_ipmilan (bz #482913 / #522529) won't work from the command line without specifying a value for the new optional -M parameter.

$ /sbin/fence_ipmilan -a dell-pe2900-03-drac -l root -p XXXX -o status
failed: method, if included, muse be 'onoff', 'cycle'.

$ /sbin/fence_ipmilan -a dell-pe2900-03-drac -l root -p XXXX -o status -M cycle
Getting status of IPMI:dell-pe2900-03-drac.rhts.bos.redhat.com...Chassis power = On
Done

The same behavior is seen with every power action, with added errors when specifying "cycle" for "on" or "off". Feeding the values in on stdin works as expected (method= is NOT required).

This breaks about 25% of the systems in RHTS until we can go through and add "-M onoff" to all of them.
