#3 0x00e17bd8 in __assert_fail (assertion=<value optimized out>, file=<value optimized out>, line=<value optimized out>, function=<value optimized out>) at assert.c:81 buf = 0x9450bd0 "totem: /builddir/build/BUILD/libdvdnav-4.1.4/src/vm/vm.c:1102: play_Cell: La declaracin `0' no se cumple.\n" This is a crash in libdvdnav, passing on.
I need a way to reproduce this. Could you provide more details? What is your libdvdnav and libdvdread version? What DVD were you playing? Is the libdvdcss library installed? Does it happen when you play the DVD in other players (Xine, MPlayer)?
This problem occurs with VLC aswell. In my case, when trying to read the dvd Crank. I tried using the VLC (including deps) from RPMFusion, and installing One or two packages from Livna. Output was: libdvdnav: ifoRead_PGCI_UT failed vlc: /builddir/build/BUILD/libdvdnav-4.1.4/src/vm/vm.c:1513: process_command: Assertion '0' failed. Other potential useful information: [roy@Torres ~]$ rpm -qa | grep libdvdnav libdvdnav-4.1.4-0.1.svn1184.fc12.x86_64 [roy@Torres ~]$ uname -r 2.6.31.9-174.fc12.x86_64
As I cannot alter my comment, some more info in a new one. I've also seen this error message after retrying: *** libdvdread: CHECK_VALUE failed in /builddir/build/BUILD/libdvdread-4.1.4/src/ifo_read.c:1705 *** *** for info_length % sizeof(uint32_t) == 0 *** With lots of messages like these: libdvdread: Get key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.VOB at 0x000001d0 libdvdread: Error cracking CSS key for /VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.VOB (0x000001d0) With this error message VLC does not crash, unlike with the message above. This might be because I've installed several debuginfo packages (well, abrt did). The same DVD does work on my 32-bit machine, with the same software versions. Could this be a 64-bit related problem?
Does it crash with mplayer as well? Ideally I'd need a copy of your DVD to reproduce this. Right now I have only one DVD around and it's not crashing. :) And yes, this could be a 64-bit related problem.
Reporter, could you please reply to the previous question? If you won't reply in one month, I will have to close this bug as INSUFFICIENT_DATA. Thank you. -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers
This message is a reminder that Fedora 12 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 12. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '12'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 12's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 12 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version, please add a comment here and someone will do it for you. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
Fedora 12 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2010-12-02. Fedora 12 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
