Description Minh Chanh 2009-11-20 09:17:30 UTC
Summary:

SELinux is preventing /usr/sbin/cupsd "search" access on Setup.

Detailed Description:

SELinux denied access requested by cupsd. It is not expected that this access is
required by cupsd and this access may signal an intrusion attempt. It is also
possible that the specific version or configuration of the application is
causing it to require additional access.

Allowing Access:

You can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see FAQ
(http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/selinux-faq-fc5/#id2961385) Please file a bug
report.

Are you trying to print something from a fuse file system?

Comment 2 Daniel Walsh 2009-11-20 13:14:28 UTC
Actually this looks like a leaked file descriptor since other confined domains are also searching here.

Comment 5 Tim Waugh 2009-11-20 15:37:18 UTC
Dan: meaning a file descriptor leaked by initscripts somehow, or leaked by cupsd?

Comment 6 Daniel Walsh 2009-11-20 15:41:36 UTC
Sorry Tim, not related to Cups. Minh reported the same basic bug on 4 other confined domains. So I think something was probably leaked in an rpm/yum/packagekit transaction.

Comment 7 Daniel Walsh 2009-11-20 15:41:58 UTC
Sorry to bother you, you can remove yourself from the cc list.

Comment 8 Tim Waugh 2009-11-20 16:12:07 UTC
Ah, OK :-)

Comment 9 Daniel Walsh 2009-12-23 17:11:36 UTC
You can add these rules for now using

# grep avc /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol
# semodule -i mypol.pp
