Today i installed the last koji-build and until i tried to send a mail all seemed to work fine but while writing a message TB says it cannot be stored in "Drafts" and sending fails also (but pretty sure this is never really tried) Started from terminal i get the following messages every time i try to save on the imap-server or send the message: deliver mode: 4 deliver mode: 0 deliver mode: 4 deliver mode: 0 As i am the serveradmin i seen our clients can send and horde-webmail also works including tls, so i downgraded to beta4 and as expected it works again Nov 25 17:56:22 Updated: thunderbird-3.0-2.9.rc1.fc11.x86_64 Nov 26 01:11:34 Installed: thunderbird-3.0-2.8.b4.fc11.x86_64
Are you able to reproduce this in safe mode (e.g., running Thunderbird with -safe-mode parameter on the command line)? If yes, could you please read https://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging and provide us with logs of SMTP traffic, please? THank you
Sorry i switched back to beta4 and this time i can not start testing because a lot of important work :-(
OK, you have a month to retest, then we close this bug as INSUFFICIENT_DATA. Thank you filing the bug report.

I've enabled logging as described in Comment 1 however it doesn't produce anything of value. What I've done is [sdodson@sdodson ~]$ export NSPR_LOG_MODULES="imap:5,smtp:5,ImapAutoSync:5,ldap:5,mime:5" [sdodson@sdodson ~]$ export NSPR_LOG_FILE="nspr.log" I wait for the noise to settle down then create a new message then attempt to first send it and after that fails save it as a draft. Here are the only log messages generated deliver mode: 0 deliver mode: 0 deliver mode: 4
For me now it seems to work Maybe because enigmail/lightning are updated But it is very strange, normally the extensions does not kill sending mails even if you force compatiblity with "nightly tester tools" Nov 30 10:10:09 Updated: thunderbird-enigmail-1.0-0.1.cvs20091121.fc11.1.x86_64 Nov 30 10:10:10 Updated: thunderbird-lightning-1.0-0.9.20090715hg.fc11.x86_64
For some reason I didn't yet think of thunderbird-enigmail (from Fedora's perspective: a third-party plugin). And yes, that's the cause. Until now I had: thunderbird-enigmail-0.97a-0.1.cvs20090721.fc12.x86_64 1) Removing it helps or 2) Upgrading to 1.0-0.1.cvs20091121.fc12 (from rpmfusion-free-updates-testing) Works fine now.
Working fine with enigmail 1.0. CLOSED NOTABUG ?
(In reply to comment #8) > Working fine with enigmail 1.0. > > CLOSED NOTABUG ? Yes, it is ... enigmail is not provided by Fedora repositories, and it's quality was (up to version 1.0 not including, AFAIK) pretty questionable.
