perl-IO-Compress-Base use name space Validator:: (Validator::new ...), this conflict with our modules (namely SatConfig-cluster from Spacewalk). In new version in CPAN it is already fixed and it use namespace IO::Compress::Base::Validator:: It will be nice if you can upgrade perl-IO-Compress-Base to latest version (currently IO-Compress-2.023)
IO-Compress-2.023 merge two packages: IO-Compress-Base and IO-Compress. It's almost impossible update them without breaking other (sub)modules in perl core. This bug is also fixed in http://search.cpan.org/dist/IO-Compress-Base/ v2.015.
I changed namespace in our module from Validator:: to SatConfig::cluster::Validator:: so it is no more blocker for us. But I leave this open, as Validator:: is too generic name and may conflict with other custom modules as well. And upstream has evidently the same opinion.
