Summary: SELinux is preventing access to files with the label, file_t. Detailed Description: SELinux permission checks on files labeled file_t are being denied. file_t is the context the SELinux kernel gives to files that do not have a label. This indicates a serious labeling problem. No files on an SELinux box should ever be labeled file_t. If you have just added a new disk drive to the system you can relabel it using the restorecon command. Otherwise you should relabel the entire file system. Allowing Access: You can execute the following command as root to relabel your computer system: "touch /.autorelabel; reboot" Additional Information: Source Context unconfined_u:system_r:cupsd_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 Target Context unconfined_u:object_r:file_t:s0 Target Objects Backup [ dir ] Source cupsd Source Path /usr/sbin/cupsd Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages cups-1.4.1-13.fc12 Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.6.32-46.fc12 Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Plugin Name file Host Name (removed) Platform Linux (removed) 2.6.31.5-127.fc12.x86_64 #1 SMP Sat Nov 7 21:11:14 EST 2009 x86_64 x86_64 Alert Count 97 First Seen Wed 02 Dec 2009 04:35:33 PM IRST Last Seen Wed 02 Dec 2009 04:35:33 PM IRST Local ID 0043e6c4-45fc-40c4-85ea-916472a2158d Line Numbers Raw Audit Messages node=(removed) type=AVC msg=audit(1259759133.797:28954): avc: denied { search } for pid=12049 comm="cupsd" name="Backup" dev=sda1 ino=7561218 scontext=unconfined_u:system_r:cupsd_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tcontext=unconfined_u:object_r:file_t:s0 tclass=dir node=(removed) type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1259759133.797:28954): arch=c000003e syscall=2 success=no exit=-13 a0=7fff4d5c6de0 a1=0 a2=0 a3=2f336574696c7173 items=0 ppid=12048 pid=12049 auid=500 uid=0 gid=0 euid=0 suid=0 fsuid=0 egid=0 sgid=0 fsgid=0 tty=pts1 ses=1 comm="cupsd" exe="/usr/sbin/cupsd" subj=unconfined_u:system_r:cupsd_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 key=(null) Hash String generated from selinux-policy-3.6.32-46.fc12,file,cupsd,cupsd_t,file_t,dir,search audit2allow suggests: #============= cupsd_t ============== allow cupsd_t file_t:dir search;
