Description Yuri Timofeev 2009-12-07 08:49:11 UTC
Description of problem:

My proxy settings are specified separately for each account.
I upgrade pidgin+libpurple and result : no proxy authentication.

In /var/log/squid.log :
TCP_DENIED/407 CONNECT talk.google.com:5222
and so on.

Code 407 - is "Proxy Authentication Required"

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
pidgin 2.6.4 fc12
libpurple 2.6.4 fc12

Additional info:
Workaround:
  yum downgrade pidgin libpurple

and problem disappeared.

The fix looks already provided by Pidgin team here - http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/10856

How can we backport it to Fedora?

Comment 2 Stu Tomlinson 2010-01-13 15:11:04 UTC
This is fixed in Pidgin 2.6.5 (now available in updates)

Comment 3 Maxim Molchanov 2010-01-13 16:30:32 UTC
Justed tested 2.6.5, works fine, thanks.
