This was fixed upstream, see:

... and the subsequent commit.

There is a problem there were more various fixes of Linux threading support from Paul Pluzhnikov some possibly fixing regressions from the previous patches.
I did not find a safe enough subset of the fixes.  If you find these PR 10757 patches as separately backportable I can do so.  Otherwise it is fixed F-13+.
