Description of problem: Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kdelibs3-3.5.10-19.fc12.i686 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install mythtv .21 2. Run mythbrowser (uses konqueror) and visit any web page with javascript (http://slashdot.org) 3. mythbrowser crashes with an error coming from libkjs.so.1 Actual results: The web page crashes with a KDE error. Expected results: The web page should display. Additional info: This error is reported in the kde bugzilla under bug 217670, and seems to be fixed here: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=revision&revision=960321 This worked under Fedora 9, and is broken in 11. I don't know if 10 worked or not.
Version should be the version of Fedora, not KDE.
Looks like kdelibs3 needs the same aliasing fixes as the current kdelibs, I wonder how we've missed this. :-(
Fedora 10 has GCC 4.3.2, so it is not affected by this issue (it's GCC 4.4 being stricter with aliasing, we've never seen this with 4.3), so I'm not going to rush an F10 update so shortly before the EOL. Fedora 11, 12 and Rawhide have GCC 4.4.x and are thus affected. We will provide a fixed kdelibs3.
I see Than is handling this, thanks!
the fix is included in kdelibs3-3.5.10-21. I will push it to F11/F12 update soon.
