Description Ben Webb 2009-12-11 20:54:48 UTC
Description of problem:
wine 1.1.34 has now been released. Would it be possible to update the Fedora packages to match? The current version in Fedora (1.1.32) does not work for us due to Wine bug #20681 (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20681). The wine folks claim this bug is fixed in 1.1.34, however.

wine-1.1.35-1.fc12 has been pushed to the Fedora 12 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
If you want to test the update, you can install it with
su -c 'yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update wine'. You can provide feedback for this update here: http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/F12/FEDORA-2009-13529

Comment 3 The Source 2009-12-22 19:04:58 UTC
wine32 is completely broken

wine32 winecfg
wine: created the configuration directory '/home/thesource/.wine'
wine: chdir to /tmp/.wine-500/server-801-67aba : No such file or directory

Comment 4 The Source 2009-12-22 19:08:56 UTC
Created requested directory and set appropriate permissions

wine32 winecfg
wine: for some mysterious reason, the wine server never started.

Very helpful explanation, haha

Comment 5 The Source 2009-12-22 19:45:36 UTC
Ok, got it. You need to create a symlink in /tmp/.wine-<uid> with the name that wine32 requests leading to /tmp/.wine-x86_64-<uid>/<wine-server-dir-name>.
After that wine32 works as it should.

However, wine64 winecfg audio tab still crashes. Good news that winedbg doesn't go to infinite crash loop.

Comment 6 Andrey 2010-01-12 20:27:59 UTC
I think it's better to update directly to 1.1.36.

Comment 9 The Source 2010-01-22 13:18:56 UTC
Version mismatch between wineserver (1.1.35 somehow) and wineserver64 1.1.36.
wine32 broken because of this
