Description bugsvillecentral 2009-12-17 22:12:44 UTC
Summary:

SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/xauth "module_request" access.

Detailed Description:

SELinux denied access requested by xauth. It is not expected that this access is
required by xauth and this access may signal an intrusion attempt. It is also
possible that the specific version or configuration of the application is
causing it to require additional access.

Allowing Access:

You can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see FAQ
(http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/selinux-faq-fc5/#id2961385) Please file a bug
report.

Comment 1 bugsvillecentral 2009-12-17 22:32:15 UTC
hello
I'm not entirely sure what ths bug refers to but it came up after attempting to stream live bbc tv (in the uk) with an app called get_iplayer http://linuxcentre.net/getiplayer, which is a perl script using flvstreamer-1.9
basically mplayer cannot find an audio player (default is pulse) tries all the others and then plays the video stream with audio=null, if this is recorded in some log somewhere I'd be glad to send you the printout
this also happened a couple of days ago and I lost all audio until I did an update which restored audio.
if that was down to you guys, big thanks
I'm using a pretty old hp compaq nx9030 laptop and installed fedora 12 from a usb stick made with fedora usb creator and was using fluxbox at the time
hope this helps

Have you disabled IPV6 networking?

Comment 3 Carl G. 2010-01-17 01:28:15 UTC
Could you provide the requested information or else i'm going to close this bug report.

Thanks
