Description Julian Sikorski 2009-12-19 21:23:47 UTC
Description of problem:
Firefox seems to be able to get the network connection status from NetworkManager. Thunderbird is based on the same code, so I believe it should do the same. Right now the program needs to be put into offline mode manually.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
thunderbird-3.0-4.fc12.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start thunderbird
2. Disconnect from the network

Actual results:
Thunderbird remains unaware and still tries to connect

Expected results:
Thunderbird switches to offline mode.

Not sure if firefox does got the status but it's really annoying that TB3 doesn't notice, for sure.
+1 for this bug (which I had opened if it wasn't there already)

This is very similar to bug 510005 - almost a duplicate.
