Description ryan_tucker 1999-10-04 17:05:02 UTC
Greetings...

On our flock of Compaq machines with ATI Mach64 cards and
Compaq V75 monitors, the graphical installer causes the
monitor to go into a state where it loses sync after about
half a second, clicks, and then tries again. The only
solution is to use the text-mode installer.

Thanks! -rt

This issue has been forwarded to a developer for further action.

The latest installer allows the user to manually enter sync rates is the default
ones do not work. Reopen this bug if you are still having problems. I was able
to make use of this monitor without any problems, but then again, I did not
connect it to a high-end video card, so that might be the difference.
