Is the 4.10 version needed with the current Xorg?

Possible!

I'll package to new version over Christmas holidays :)

Hello.

I packaged 0.5 version of Easystroke (this version is prepared for Xserver 1.7 and XI2).

This version was packaged without any errors or issues, but for me, at my Fedora 12 does not work correctly.
When I press mouse button for recording gesture, program hang!

Please, feel free to try at your system.

When I try to record a stroke with this package, it crashes and I get this error at the console:

easystroke: /usr/include/boost/smart_ptr/shared_ptr.hpp:409: T* boost::shared_ptr< <template-parameter-1-1> >::operator->() const [with T = Stroke]: Assertion `px != 0' failed.
Aborted

Actual version of easystroke is 5.2 i`ve compiled it and it is working without any errors.

Comment 5 Mace Moneta 2010-01-06 23:43:51 UTC
Confirmed. I built 0.5.2, and it's working fine.

Comment 6 Zarko (grof) 2010-01-07 10:03:11 UTC
OK, I will make packages of this new version, soon.

I installed your package, and it works here. What I've noticed is that if you take too long to create the stroke, easystroke crashes. Try setting the 'Timeout profile' in the Preferences tab to Timeout Off.

Huh.... can you forward this issue to upstream?

I'm not sure how smart is to package this version. It is still unstable!

I'll report it upstream, if you can confirm that it works in that mode.

Packaging this version is a step up from the currently packaged version, which is completely non-functional on F12. This one is at least usable with a preferences tweak.

From upstream:

Comment(by thjaeger):

 Thanks. The issue doesn't surface if timeout gestures are enabled, that's
 why I never caught it. I believe the issue is fixed in git now:

Good, I can patch current version with the latest git :)

I need some time to do this.
