Description of problem: When adding a new queue for a device whose Device ID is known, an exactly-matching driver should be pre-selected. This goes wrong with the Brother HL-2040, which has an exactly matching ID for a driver with a different model name. When modifying an existing queue, we should pre-select the current driver based on the NickName or ModelName attribute in the PPD. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): system-config-printer-1.1.16-1.fc11 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1.Plug in a Brother HL-2040 and try to add a queue for it. Actual results: Gutenprint driver is used. Expected results: Foomatic/PostScript driver is used, as that has an exact ID match and PostScript drivers are generally preferred over raster drivers.
Fixed upstream.
