Description of Problem:
Anaconda added my compressed windows 95 partition (/dev/hda5) to fstab,
when I updated RH 7.0 to 7.2.
fsck then hangs when i boot my computer.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

With compressed partition I mean Windows own way of compressing an entire
partition without letting the user notice anything.

Hmm...I don't know anything about how Windows compresses partitions.  I am
surprised that the upgrade from 7.0 to 7.2 would add this to your /etc/fstab. 
Are you sure that it wasn't already in the /etc/fstab file?

One way to get around this is to boot into rescue mode in the installer and then
go remove the line from the /etc/fstab file and then reboot.
