Description Jan ONDREJ 2010-01-04 14:39:50 UTC
Description of problem:
In Fedora 12 there is PHP-5.3, where some functions and some constructions are marked as deprecated. At least one of them is used in Mail.php from pear, which fills my logs. I can't disable deprecation warnings on my server, so it's only possible to request a fix in rpm package.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
php-5.3.1-1.fc12.i686
php-pear-Mail-1.1.14-5.fc12.noarch

How reproducible:
always

Actual results:
PHP Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /usr/share/pear/Mail.php on line 154,

Expected results:
No Warning.

Additional info:
Sure, I can disable Deprecation warnings, but we need to fix our pages to do not report these, then this Warning is very disturbing.

Comment 3 Remi Collet 2010-01-15 06:36:01 UTC
It seems this bug will be fixed in next 1.2.0, available in beta.

Issue I see with this beta is the use of is_a which is deprecated in 5.2 (and no more deprecated in 5.3).
