Description James Bowes 2010-01-07 16:38:57 UTC
Channel checksum type is used to decide what checksum is calculated for repodata files in repomd.xml if this changes, a repodata refresh should be scheduled to update repomd.xml

Comment 1 James Bowes 2010-01-07 16:43:30 UTC
To test:

use rhn-manage-channel-internal to update an existing channels checksum type.

rhn-manage-channel-internal --server dev --user ***** --password ***** --list rhel-i386-server-5 > channel.csv
(edit the second last field of channel.csv)
rhn-manage-channel-internal --server dev --user ******* --password ***** --csv channel.csv --update --commit

There should now be an entry in the rhnreporegenqueue table.

Also ensure that a refresh is not scheduled if the checksum type isn't changed.
