Among the many additional features accepted into NTP during the 4.2.5 development cycle is the ability to provide "signed" updates to Windows clients. This functionality is an MS "extension" to the NTP protocol that is needed by Windows clients running in a domain context. This NTP feature was implemented by one of the Samba 4 developers, as it is needed for proper operation of Windows clients in a Samba 4 environment. It may also provide benefit to the SSSD/FreeIPA projects. Regardless of the specific feature addressed above, it would just be nice to get the new version into rawhide so it can be released as part of F13.

What's wrong with 4.2.4p8? It was released just few months ago. Anyway, I'm preparing for the upcoming 4.2.6p1 release. I have almost everything ready (except the sleep patch which is a pain to port), so it should be quick once it's released.
ntp-4.2.6p1-0.1.rc5.fc14 is now in rawhide. Please test. I'll make an update for F-13 when the final 4.2.6p1 is released.
