From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.78 [en] (X11; U; SunOS 5.7 sun4u)

Description of problem:

If the first file in the list doesn't exist LPRng doesn't try to use the
others.

From lpd.conf man :
       printcap_path
              (default: "etc/printcap:/usr/etc/print-
              cap:/var/spool/lpd/printcap.%h") The location of
the printcap database information. If a file or
filter does not exist, it is skipped.

Should be fixed in LPRng-3.8.5-3. Thanks.

Comment 2 Tim Waugh 2002-03-05 12:03:17 UTC
This change will be reverted in a future LPRng package; apparently it is the
documentation that is wrong.
