Description Jeremy Mueller 2010-01-12 15:41:09 UTC
Created attachment 383262 [details]
Screenshot of the bad left navigation.

Description of problem:

While working with the File Preservation Lists, if you open up a Spacewalk page in another browser tab / window, the left nav location is reset the next time that you reload / submit the File Preservation List. This does not happen in other locations (like the Kickstart Profiles).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Spacewalk 0.7

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on the Systems tab.
2. Click on the Kickstart left navigation option.
3. Click on the File Preservation left navigation option.
4. Click on one of the File Preservation names.
4. Open up the Systems tab in another browser window/tab.
5. Refresh the File Preservation tab, or click on Update List.

Actual results:

The left navigation no longer displays the Kickstart sub-menu with File Preservation highlighted. See attachment 1 [details] (bad_navigation.png).

Expected results:

The left navigation should show the Kickstart sub-menu with File Preservation highlighted.

Additional info:

This is occurring for me on both Firefox 3.5.7 on Windows and on Internet Explorer 7.

If you don't use a second browser window, then the File Preservation navigation works as expected.

The auto-link for the attachment in my text on the original bug report is incorrect, sorry. The correct link should be attachment 383262 [details].

Fixed in rev 0432aaee4c74aa1653bcbd344bc63d075d4f901f i believe.

The only problematic page i could find was the file preservation details page (PreservationListEdit.do?file_list_id=81) and not the list page (PreservationList.do) . The file preservation list page seemed to work just fine. Your screenshot seems to indicate the details page as well. Let me know if this isn't correct.

Thanks!

-Justin

Yes, the problem was only on the file preservation details page (PreservationListEdit.do?file_list_id=1). The times that I saw it on the list of preservations files was only after you submit a change to a file preservation list. That displays a list of all the files just like on the list page, but it's still under the file preservation details page (PreservationListEdit.do?file_list_id=1).

Thanks,

Jeremy

Ok, then that fix should be good then.

Thanks again!
