Like Bugzilla & Request Tracker, permit groups to be members of groups.
This would indeed be a very useful feature for hierarchically managing systems, like a top group for department and different geos as subgroups.
Yes I would like to have this feature as well as my thinking behind this feature is, Have a global group say "GSS" and subgroups like gss-pnq, gss-rdu, gss-bne. It would be even useful when I want to track systems in location wise. Say finance need all gss systems from pnq location so they will just sort on the basis of sub-group. - gss -- gss-pnq -- gss-rdu -- gss-bne Group option should be available when you add system to the beaker. -- Nilesh

Identified as a deferred feature in http://beaker-project.org/dev/proposals/enhanced-user-groups.html, so currently under consideration for 1.1
Would this still useful to anyone, otherwise I'll close this bug as our priorities at the moment have shifted. Currently this item doesn't seem to be valuable to pursue, since we have more important items in the back log. Furthermore Beaker provides the system pools feature, which allows systems to be grouped.
