Description Jason Fenner 2010-01-14 16:22:45 UTC
Description of problem:
When F12 is installed as either an upgrade or a new install, the user's desktop will display an ABRT alert. The alert states that the ABRT service did not start.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Install F12 new or via upgrade.

The release notes should explain that the ABRT tool does not start because it's default configuration file requires some plugins that are not installed by default. Therefore when ABRT tries to start it fails. This issue can be resolved via two methods:

1: Install the missing plugins. This can be done be installing the package called abrt-desktop. yum install abrt-desktop

2: Edit the ABRT configuration file (/etc/abrt/abrt.conf) to remove references to plugins that are not installed. Example: Bugzilla
