Created attachment 385447 [details]
test case

Description of problem:
setfacl/getfacl follows symlinks encountered in traversed directories even when -L is not given as option

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
acl-2.2.23-5.4.el4

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run the attached script
2. compare its output with acl-2.2.49-4.fc13
3. compare also the documentation of setfacl/getfacl, in particular the options -R, -L and -P

Actual results:
The behavior does not adhere to the documentation.

As acl is not scheduled for update in RHEL-4.9, I'm closing that bug as WONTFIX.
