Description Sven Herzberg 2010-01-19 18:46:46 UTC
Description of problem:
The when I press the pen on surface of the tablet pc, it regularly jumps to the botton-right corner and back, making the device unusable for pen input.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xorg-x11-drv-wacom-0.10.2-2.fc12.i686

How reproducible:
Try to select some text in firefox and observe the flickering text selection.

Additional info:
This was a lot better when Fedora 12 was installed in November, are both SRPMS available for download to test incremental changes?

Everything is available at http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=9537 or http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=807 for previous package of wacom driver (now obsoleted by xorg-x11-drv-wacom).

When use the pen, I am unable to work

My ThinkPad always work with the pen, but since February 5, I am unable to use the pen.
I already updated the driver to the last one in test (xorg-x11-drv-wacom-0.10.4-2.fc12.x86_64), but it's the same.

If I use the finger, only works in the center of the screen, because I don't have any tool to calibrate the tablet. In the top of the screen it points 1 cm bellow, and in the bottom of the screen points 1 cm above.

If I use the pen, points to the right place, but when I press the pen, the device comes to flickering and continuously select and hold the space until the bottom of the screen.

Xorg.log shows a lot of errors (WW) wcmSerialValidate: bad magic at 1 v=91 l=9 in every flickering

I have the same problem with my x200 tablet, namely:

"... when I press the pen on surface of the tablet pc, it regularly jumps to the
botton-right corner and back, making the device unusable for pen input."

It started yesterday when the Fedora update erased linuxwacom and linuxwacom-devel and installed

xorg-x11-drv-wacom-0.10.4-1.fc12.x86_64
xorg-x11-drv-wacom-devel-0.10.4-1.fc12.x86_6

I "fixed" the problem with

yum erase xorg-x11-drv-wacom-0.10.4-1.fc12.x86_64
yum erase xorg-x11-drv-wacom-devel-0.10.4-1.fc12.x86_64
rpm -ihv --force linuxwacom-0.8.2.2-14.fc12.x86_64.rpm
rpm -ihv --force linuxwacom-devel-0.8.2.2-14.fc12.x86_64.rpm
