The python-assets package is required by IPAv2, but we don't have it in Fedora 11. It looks like we can just rebuild the versions from Fedora 12. If that's the case, then I can do the legwork if you're not going to be able to get to it for a while, as I'm already building it locally for jdennis's devel repository.
You should be able to build python-assets (and python-wehjit) without modification under Fedora 11. But I'm happy to get them into Fedora 11, just don't know the exact process... can you point me to info on how I request an F11 CVS branch? Do I file a new fedora-review bug for this?
The previous versions of the package rebuilt without issue on F11, that's right. But if we're going to continue to not include it with F11 snapshots of IPAv2, people who are trying to install IPAv2 are going to need to be able to get the package from somewhere. Since it's already in F12, I figured getting it added to F11 would be the simplest thing. The new-branch procedure's outlined at http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackageMaintainers/CVSAdminProcedure -- a comment requesting the branch, preferably in the specified form, needs to be added to the original review request (even if it's closed -- leave the bug state alone, comments can still be added and that's all that's necessary), and set the 'fedora-cvs' flag to '?'. The format (for bug #525358) looks like: Package Change Request ====================== Package Name: python-assets New Branches: F-11 Owners: jderose [Updated Description: ] [add any required explanatory text here; probably none needed for this case] When the CVS admins finish doing their thing, you'll get mail indicating that the branch has been created. After that, the package's .spec file and whatnot get checked in, they get built, and the fedora updates system (https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates) is used to push it as a newly-added package to the F11 updates repository.
Okay, I updated my bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=525358
python-assets-0.1.1-2.fc11 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 11. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/python-assets-0.1.1-2.fc11
python-assets-0.1.1-2.fc11 has been pushed to the Fedora 11 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
Nalin, I also just submitted python-wehjit for Fedora11: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/python-wehjit-0.2.0-1.fc11 Once available, everything needed for the IPA v2 webUI will be available in Fedora11.
