Summary: SELinux is preventing /bin/bash access to a leaked unix_stream_socket file descriptor. Detailed Description: [sh has a permissive type (ipsec_mgmt_t). This access was not denied.] SELinux denied access requested by the sh command. It looks like this is either a leaked descriptor or sh output was redirected to a file it is not allowed to access. Leaks usually can be ignored since SELinux is just closing the leak and reporting the error. The application does not use the descriptor, so it will run properly. If this is a redirection, you will not get output in the unix_stream_socket. You should generate a bugzilla on selinux-policy, and it will get routed to the appropriate package. You can safely ignore this avc. Allowing Access: You can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see FAQ (http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/selinux-faq-fc5/#id2961385) Additional Information: Source Context unconfined_u:system_r:ipsec_mgmt_t:s0 Target Context unconfined_u:system_r:ipsec_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 Target Objects unix_stream_socket [ unix_stream_socket ] Source sh Source Path /bin/bash Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages bash-4.0.35-2.fc12 Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.6.32-69.fc12 Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Plugin Name leaks Host Name (removed) Platform Linux (removed) 2.6.31.12-174.2.3.fc12.i686.PAE #1 SMP Mon Jan 18 20:06:44 UTC 2010 i686 i686 Alert Count 23 First Seen Tue 05 Jan 2010 10:36:04 PM HKT Last Seen Wed 27 Jan 2010 09:32:18 PM HKT Local ID 6f90a7fa-b4d9-4306-b062-27145fb8ea5c Line Numbers Raw Audit Messages node=(removed) type=AVC msg=audit(1264599138.117:21337): avc: denied { read write } for pid=6964 comm="sh" path="socket:[39336]" dev=sockfs ino=39336 scontext=unconfined_u:system_r:ipsec_mgmt_t:s0 tcontext=unconfined_u:system_r:ipsec_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tclass=unix_stream_socket node=(removed) type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1264599138.117:21337): arch=40000003 syscall=11 success=yes exit=0 a0=c06a85 a1=bfd320bc a2=bfd35fbc a3=3 items=0 ppid=2132 pid=6964 auid=0 uid=0 gid=0 euid=0 suid=0 fsuid=0 egid=0 sgid=0 fsgid=0 tty=(none) ses=1 comm="sh" exe="/bin/bash" subj=unconfined_u:system_r:ipsec_mgmt_t:s0 key=(null) Hash String generated from selinux-policy-3.6.32-69.fc12,leaks,sh,ipsec_mgmt_t,ipsec_t,unix_stream_socket,read,write audit2allow suggests: #============= ipsec_mgmt_t ============== allow ipsec_mgmt_t ipsec_t:unix_stream_socket { read write };
