Notifications can be used to inform the user about an event or display some form of information without getting in the user's way. Hello, I packaged an alternative notification daemon so I needed to use alternatives on the DBus service file. I'm also searching a sponsor because these packages (libmpdclient, ario, notification-daemon, notify-osd) are my first ones. They work on my own Fedora system and pass the rpmlint test : $ rpmlint **/notification-daemon*.(rpm|spec) notification-daemon.x86_64: W: self-obsoletion notify-daemon obsoletes notify-daemon notification-daemon.x86_64: W: conffile-without-noreplace-flag /etc/gconf/schemas/notification-daemon.schemas SPECS/notification-daemon.spec:14: W: unversioned-explicit-provides desktop-notification-daemon SPECS/notification-daemon.spec:15: W: unversioned-explicit-provides notify-daemon SPECS/notification-daemon.spec:37: W: unversioned-explicit-obsoletes notify-daemon notification-daemon.src:14: W: unversioned-explicit-provides desktop-notification-daemon notification-daemon.src:15: W: unversioned-explicit-provides notify-daemon notification-daemon.src:34: W: unversioned-explicit-obsoletes notify-daemon notification-daemon.src: W: mixed-use-of-spaces-and-tabs (spaces: line 3, tab: line 1) notification-daemon.src:14: W: unversioned-explicit-provides desktop-notification-daemon notification-daemon.src:15: W: unversioned-explicit-provides notify-daemon notification-daemon.src:37: W: unversioned-explicit-obsoletes notify-daemon 4 packages and 1 specfiles checked; 0 errors, 12 warnings. This package is already in the distribution. If you wish to file bugs against notification-daemon, please do so, but there is no point in submitting another version of the package for the review process.
