Description of problem: when kerberos configuration is enable openldap cannot start Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): openldap-2.3.43-8.el5 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. set up openldap with kerberos :) 2. service ldap start fails Actual results: cannot start Expected results: works Additional info: version openldap-2.3.43-3.el5 works well, bug appears after update to openldap-2.3.43-8.el5 all configuration files and set up system is: pes-02.lab.eng.brq.redhat.com up to discussion with developer, there are some changes in start script which causes of this bug
The issue is caused by sysconf file. It should provide SLAPD_LDAP=yes (or SLAPD_LDAPS/SLAPD_LDAPI) by default. This way the init script tries to start slapd without specifying where should it listen.
I added proper configuration directives in ldap.sysconfig. Changing status to MODIFIED.
RHTS Test proposed, see QA Whiteboard.
