Description Matt Castelein 2010-02-11 16:43:43 UTC
Summary:

SELinux is preventing /usr/lib/cups/backend/cups-pdf "fowner" access.

Detailed Description:

[SELinux is in permissive mode. This access was not denied.]

SELinux denied access requested by cups-pdf. It is not expected that this access
is required by cups-pdf and this access may signal an intrusion attempt. It is
also possible that the specific version or configuration of the application is
causing it to require additional access.

Allowing Access:

You can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see FAQ
(http://docs.fedoraproject.org/selinux-faq-fc5/#id2961385) Please file a bug
report.

Miroslav add this.

Comment 2 Miroslav Grepl 2010-02-12 16:30:27 UTC
Could you execute:

yum update selinux-policy-targeted

And make sure nothing breaks on the update.

Comment 3 Matt Castelein 2010-02-12 16:57:45 UTC
Updated; Doesn't look like anything broke...

Comment 4 Miroslav Grepl 2010-02-15 10:44:47 UTC
Ok, this is a part of selinux-policy.

Could you check it using

# sesearch -A -s cups_pdf_t -t cups_pdf_t --class capability --perm fowner

Found 1 semantic av rules:
   allow cups_pdf_t cups_pdf_t : capability { chown dac_override fowner fsetid setgid setuid } ;

What is your output ?

Comment 5 Matt Castelein 2010-02-15 17:14:32 UTC
Exactly the same as yours:

[root@arturo ~]# sesearch -A -s cups_pdf_t -t cups_pdf_t --class capability --perm fowner

Found 1 semantic av rules:
   allow cups_pdf_t cups_pdf_t : capability { chown dac_override fowner fsetid setgid setuid } ;

Comment 6 Miroslav Grepl 2010-02-15 17:24:51 UTC
Ok, then I am closing this bug.
