Description of problem: LuckyBackup doesn't start. Unknown error message is displayed. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Version : 0.3.5 Release : 1.fc12 How reproducible: launch luckybackup form command line or menu. Steps to Reproduce: 1. luckybackup Actual results: "Unknown error" message box displayed Expected results: Normal startup Additional info: This seems to be a problem with the Fedora package since the "offical" package provided here : http://luckybackup.sourceforge.net/download.html doesn't cause the same problem.

I tested the luckybackup-0.3.5-2.fc12 update, but the launch core dumped :-(
Hmm.. Works flawless here with F-12 x86_64. See attachment. Can you post some output so i can try to find out what happened? And what arch is it? Thanks.

I retested and this time i can launch luchybackup. But, it's automaticly launched as root. :-( It's not the case with the luckybackup.sourceforge.net RPM.

We had a discussion about it in IRC and decided, since we use consolehelper (different from the original su-to-root) that it's fine for a backup solution to run as root in general. It's not possible to have the same binary as bin and sbin with consolehelper.

Bad news .... No root access, no luckybackup :-( I prefer having the choice to launch it as root or not, but it's just my opinion ....
