Description Martin Poole 2010-02-17 12:27:12 UTC
Description of problem:

Loading NAT module triggers change in ping behaviour even if no NAT rules are present.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

2.6.18-164.el5

This is a known problem that was fixed upstream in

 http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commit;h=848c29fd648e78fa87d0e399223826ce5dfc1b7a

The problem readily manifests itself on systems with multiple interfaces on a subnet as currently sosreport mistakenly triggers a load of the NAT module when it runs.
