Sorry, I asked a bad question. What kind of device are you trying to profile? Are you using the latest build here: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=9627?

On the other hand, now the "Create profile for device" button stays grayed even when the i1 Pro is plugged in. The device to be profiled is LG Flatron L2000C display.

Can you attach the output of "gcm-prefs --verbose" when you've plugged in and removed the colorimeter please. Thanks.

Comment 8 Richard Hughes 2010-02-19 09:01:14 UTC
Of course! I'm a moron :-)

You don't get the prompt to install argyllcms, as argyll ships the udev rules that we use to detect if the colorimeter is connected! Catch 22...

I've fixed this in gcm git master, I'll do another rebuild today at some point. Thanks for reporting this bug:

commit 959f24efd34eaca9e69ce16297ac2e9347f03723
Author: Richard Hughes <richard>
Date: Fri Feb 19 08:56:38 2010 +0000

Add a list of colorimeters as we'll need this if argyllcms is not installed. Fixes rh#566414
