Pidgin.im mentions a fix for the current ICQ login problem. The same fix also seems to work for Empathy/telepathy-haze according to [1]. Problem is, the line mentioned in the FAQ does not work on Fedora 12: "mc-tool update: Not all parameters were recognized" On IRC, other F12 users are reporting the same, while it seems to work for Ubuntu users. Sjoerd Simons also mentioned that the mission-control on F12 is quite old. I took its spec file and built 5.3.2 but even with this, I see the same problem. Something seems to be broken on Fedora :/ [1] http://live.gnome.org/Empathy/FAQ#I_can.27t_connect_to_my_AIM.2BAC8-ICQ_account_anymore
After lots of discussion on #empathy we found the problem: Fedora is shipping a manager file which is not supposed to be shipped anymore: %{_datadir}/telepathy/managers/haze.manager <sjoerd> yeah, haze should stop installing one as well in debian we just dropped it from the package After manually removing this file I can confirm that the workaround works. So please don't include this file.

I have updated telepathy-haze to last version, but the problem persist. $ rpm -q telepathy-haze telepathy-haze-0.3.1-4.fc12.x86_64 $ mc-tool list | grep aim haze/aim/xxx $ mc-tool update haze/aim/xxx bool:use-clientlogin=0 mc-tool update: Not all parameters were recognized
I compiled my own telepathy-haze-0.3.3 and the workaround works for me. Maybe 0.3.1 is too old? However, I have also compiled a new mission-control... but iirc someone on IRC mentioned that the "old" F12 mission-control should work, too.
I am experiencing this issue on F13 with all the latest updates. Just started up randomly about 3 days ago. I remember having this issue on Gentoo recently and I fixed it by turning off use-clientlogin, but that command is failing on Fedora. $ mc-tool update haze/aim/zman0900 bool:use-clientlogin=0 mc-tool: haze/aim/zman0900: Method "GetAll" with signature "s" on interface "org.freedesktop.DBus.Properties" doesn't exist I tried googling the error and found this bug on Ubuntu where another package was getting the same dbus error: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/devicekit-disks/+bug/422392 I also cannot connect to facebook chat anymore. That started up a few days before I lost AIM connectivity, but I doubt it is related since facebook chat rarely works right. Could this be a problem in dbus rather than in telepathy?

That started up a few days > before I lost AIM connectivity, but I doubt it is related since facebook chat > rarely works right. > The facebook connection is fixed in empathy-2.30.1.1-1. Most likely you'll need to delete you facebook account & re-add it in empathy for the server change to be picked-up.
