Description of problem:
SSIA. all of the fonts packages should has one that contains the generic names rule at least.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
nafees-web-naskh-fonts-1.2-3.fc12.

Comment 1 Mathieu Bridon 2010-02-23 12:49:34 UTC
I'm not sure what SSIA mean. :-/

Also, I see this bug blocks bug 567613, but I can't see it. What bug is this package blocking?

Anyway, I'll try to add this file as soon as possible, thanks for the bug report.

Comment 2 Akira TAGOH 2010-02-24 05:16:03 UTC
No worries. it's just a clone bug for RHEL6.

i am not sure for which language locale this font is specifically designed, so following basic fontconfig template

you can use attached .conf and spec file to fix this bug

Wow, thanks a lot for the config file, that makes it so much easier for me :)

I just rebuilt it in Koji and submitted the update, so this should appear in F13+ pretty soon. (I'll do it in F12 as well if there's a need for it)

BTW, if this package matters to you, co-maintainers are always welcome.

Update has been in testing for more than a week now, as the reporter, could you try it and comment the update in Bodhi so I can push it to stable ?

Comment 10 Pravin Satpute 2010-03-08 04:00:12 UTC
commented there.

while checking .conf file again with ttf file

font designer has defined font as a serif in ttf (open ttf in fontforge, see elements->font information->OS/2->PFM Family),

but to me it looks like sans-serif (really cant say about Arabic script fonts they are really full of calligraphy)

can you confirm this with upstream, may be better to open a separate bug

else everything is fine.
