Latest upstream release: 2.0.10 Current version in rawhide-source: 2.0.9 URL: https://launchpad.net/subdownloader/+download
Please update to 2.0.10 ASAP, since 2.0.9 seems to be deprecated and fails to connect to opensubtitles.org.
+1 on this. 2.0.9 fails to connect to opensubtitles.org https://bugs.launchpad.net/subdownloader/+bug/452036 seems to suggest that the fix is in the newer version
Created attachment 399962 [details] Makes SubDownloader 2.0.9.3 work with new XML-RPC API url.
Sorry for adding another post, I'm new to bugzilla and I didn't know that adding an attachment is same as adding new comment. As opensubtitles.org stated URL for XML-RPC webservice has changed from http://www.opensubtitles.org/xml-rpc to http://api.opensubtitles.org/xml-rpc Official statement is here: http://blog.opensubtitles.org/opensubtitlesorg/host-for-api-definitely-changed I have created patch and attached it in previous comment. It is also possible to fix your current installation of Subdownloader by editing configuration.py and SDService files in /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/subdownloader/modules directory. But remember that you have to run SubDownloader as root to recompile pyc files.
