Description Ondrej Vasik 2010-03-01 14:17:43 UTC
Based on the check done on F-12 system, your package owns directories owned by filesystem.
This is not allowed by Fedora policies.

See http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging/Guidelines#File_and_Directory_Ownership
for details.

(Sub)package fedorainfinity-backgrounds:
/usr/share/backgrounds

This is autogenerated bugzilla, I'm sorry if the problem is already fixed or reported. Additionally I apologize if that directory ownership was requested earlier by some bugzilla (some directories were probably added into filesystem package later, so your package should no longer own that directory).

Comment 1 Ondrej Vasik 2010-03-01 20:34:09 UTC
Still exists with fedorainfinity-backgrounds-0:0.0.5-3.fc12.noarch .

Comment 2 Mathieu Bridon 2010-03-05 21:13:40 UTC
Thanks for the bug report.

It looks like this folder is also owned by the filesystem package, which is in @core, so I'll simply drop the folder ownership.

Comment 5 Mathieu Bridon 2010-03-26 18:13:48 UTC
Update has been in testing for more than 2 weeks now. As you reported the bug, could you please check if it fixes the issue and give it karma?

I'll push it to stable afterwards.

Comment 6 Ondrej Vasik 2010-03-26 19:22:06 UTC
Feel free to push it into stable... sorry for not testing those bugzillas, it was one of ~60 automatically generated bugzillas. Purpose of those bugzillas was to have it fixed in rawhide, it was usually just easyfix.

Anyway, if you are waiting for karma, confirmed that wrong ownership is fixed ( compared http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/rpminfo?rpmID=1855979 (f13 build) and http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/rpminfo?rpmID=1393649 (f12 build) ).

It was.

But when you open a bug report, and make it block another one (which I can only guess is some internal RHEL6 stuff since I can't view it), it seems like it is important to you, so the least you can do is to provide feedback.

Anyway, pushing to stable, thanks for the bug report and the feedback. :)

Comment 8 Ondrej Vasik 2010-03-27 05:54:23 UTC
Yep, it started as tracker for "some internal RHEL6 stuff" but those 60 bugs were Fedora only. Sorry for using that tracker, it makes filesystem duplicates tracking easier for me but confusing for others.
