Description of problem: The fix for bug 567676 broke fprint support in sudo - it asks directly for password, even though I have the fingerprint enrolled. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.7.2p5-1 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. update sudo to 1.7.2p5-1 2. sudo foo Actual results: sudo asks to give user password Expected results: sudo asks for fingerprint
I can confirm this bug is sudo-1.7.2p5-1.fc12.i686. I tried to deactivate the fingerprint and reactivate it but it does no good.
Still present in F13: 1.7.2p5-1.fc13. Really annoying :(
Upstream bug report for reference: http://www.sudo.ws/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=388
I just want to update this report with the new sudo version. The bug is still present on a fully updated F-12 with sudo-1.7.2p6-1.fc12.i686.
This bug is still present in F-13 as of today. Upstream now seems to have a solution on this issue. I don't know if the patch is the right way to do this (it just seems to reverse the change in the new version).
I wish this bug fixed every time there is a sudo update, to no avail. Still present in sudo.i686 1.7.2p6-2.fc13
