Description Mark Gordon 2010-03-10 23:17:33 UTC
Description of problem:
Sometimes when I'm resizing the screen on an Ironlake box, the machine freezes up completely. Screen goes dark and never lights up again. Previously established ssh session becomes unresponsive.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xorg-x11-drv-i810-1.6.5-9.35.el5
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.1.1-48.75.el5
kernel-2.6.18-191.el5

How reproducible:
Maybe 1 in 10.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. xrandr -s <pick one>

Actual results:
perpetually dark screen, hung ssh session

Expected results:
X comes back in the specified resolution, ssh session continues to work

Additional info:
I'm seeing this on both the prototype box and the T410.
There's noting interesting in the logs following the crash.
