Set up a private vlan on the mlx4 card. 4. Test the speed of vlan, using netperf. v_2 You'll see that when using vlans, the throughput of the connection is about %85 slower. With the patch this is a reduction of %15 or something similar. You should be getting close to line speed without the vlan on top.
