Description of problem: After updating slim from version slim-1.3.1-9.fc12.i686 to slim-1.3.1-11.fc12.i686 the login manager stopped working and it is not loaded. Problem occurs with different kernels and with selinux in permissive mode. If I reinstall slim-1.3.1-9.fc12.i686 everything works fine. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): slim-1.3.1-11.fc12.i686 How reproducible: Install slim-1.3.1-11.fc12.i686 Actual results: No login screen with slim-1.3.1-11.fc12.i686
If slim is run by hand, it says: slim: Could not create lock file: /var/run/slim/slim.lock It appears that slim-1.3.1-11 moves slim's lock file from /var/run to /var/run/slim but does not create this directory. Creating /var/run/slim by hand allows slim to start successfully. (Note: this is on a system with SELinux disabled.)
