Description Matěj Cepl 2010-03-15 13:54:42 UTC
Description of problem:
When I start mt-daapd service, everything works lovely and whole family is rejoicing over their music being served from our family server. However, after playing couple of songs, mt-daapd cease to offer its services over avahi (avahi-browse -a on the client computer, doesn't show anything). There is no error in the log and when mt-daapd service is restarted, it works fine again (for some time).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mt-daapd-0.2.4.2-3.el5
avahi-0.6.16-7.el5

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.see above
2.
3.

Actual results:
not making us happy for long enough time

Expected results:
making us happy forever

There seems to me similar thread on the fireflymediaserver forum http://forums.fireflymediaserver.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10057&p=23886&hilit=serving#p23886 but not sure how much it is relevant (it is quite old).

Another data point is that Debian contains in stable 0.9~r1696 (I know Debian/stable was released later than RHEL-5) ... wouldn't it be a good idea to rebase, given that the current server doesn't seem to be working at all for longer then two songs (at least that's my experience? Does it work better for you?)

Comment 3 Fedora End Of Life 2017-04-06 10:27:46 UTC
Fedora EPEL 5 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2017-03-31. Fedora EPEL 5
is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora
or Fedora EPEL, please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If
you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current
release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
