Summary: SELinux is preventing /var/lib/boinc/projects/milkyway.cs.rpi.edu_milkyway/milkyway_0.18_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu "search" access . Detailed Description: [milkyway_0.18_x has a permissive type (boinc_t). This access was not denied.] SELinux denied access requested by milkyway_0.18_x. It is not expected that this access is required by milkyway_0.18_x and this access may signal an intrusion attempt. It is also possible that the specific version or configuration of the application is causing it to require additional access. Allowing Access: You can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see FAQ (http://docs.fedoraproject.org/selinux-faq-fc5/#id2961385) Please file a bug report. Why are these files labeled sysctl_kernel_t? Is this a symbolic link?
All files in this directory are labeled as system_u:object_r:boinc_var_lib_t:SystemLow and there are no symlinks there.
Dan, this access is required by milkyway boinc project which is located in the /var/lib/boinc/ directory. kernel_read_kernel_sysctls(boinc_t)
