Description of problem:
beep is not beeping when run by non-privileged user

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.2.2-4

How reproducible:


Steps to Reproduce:
1. log into non-privileged account
2. run 'beep' command
3. hear no sound
  
Actual results:
no sound

Expected results:
beep sound

Additional info:
required for perl(Audio::beep) module

How to fix:
set 4755 permissions

I have no intention of making beep setuid root along with the security implications that come with that.

You are welcome to take over the beep package if you want to go that route.

I have asked the packaging group to link to the pep within the packaging documentation but it doesn't seem to have happened yet :(

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 14 development cycle.
Changing version to '14'.

Keeping this bug open makes no sense, therefore I am closing it.

If someone wants to make give beep more priviledges, please reopen the bug and take over maintainership of the package.
