Description Carsten Clasohm 2010-03-16 16:09:15 UTC
Description of problem:

According to the Satellite Reference Guide, the maximum_config_file_size parameter is specified in kilobytes. This is wrong, Satellite expects bytes.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Edition 5.3.0

http://www.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Network_Satellite/5.3/Reference_Guide/html/s1-sm-configuration.html#configuration-files says that maximum_config_file_size should be set to 128 (kilobytes). Looking at /etc/rhn/default/rhn_server.conf, the default value is 131072 (bytes), and from my experience, Satellite indeed expects bytes and not kilobytes.
