I had no idea where the comments field goes when the bug report appears on this site. Here's some background data you may or may not need. I just got this new (to me, meaning used) Lenovo ThinkPad T61p, tore the windoze license sticker off, and installed Fedora 12. I attempted to use my Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Pro with it. It doesn't work with Skype, or Cheese, and no error messages appear when running either in terminal (wish they did), but when I run v4l2-tool from terminal, the output is the backtrace. Oh, by the by, the reason why I am using such an older kernel is because if I install a later one, x wont start. Has something to do with the nVidia chipset and the later kernel. I on another bug (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=571058) looking into this issue. Thanks.
How to reproduce ----- 1. Start v4l2-tool 2. Open the /dev/video1 (pwc Logitech QuickCam Sphere) webcam using the menu 3.
I have no plans to fix this as I have already stopped development on this. So thanks for using this package. I request you to please look at gtk-v4l package which is now building on koji for F-12 otherwise its available for F-13 and F-14. See if it can solve your problem.
