Description of problem: The httpd nagios configuration file points to /etc/nagios/passwd as the authentication file; however, the RPM also lays down /etc/nagios/.htpasswd. These two locations should match. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): nagios-3.2.1-1.fc12.x86_64 How reproducible: On every install. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install nagios RPM 2. Observe /etc/nagios/passwd in the /etc/httpd/conf.d/nagios.conf file 3. Observe /etc/nagios/.htpasswd as file existing in the filesystem. Actual results: User mistakenly populates .htpasswd with user/token information expecting it to work, authentications to Nagios CGIs continues to fail. Expected results: .htpasswd file is used and/or replaced with passwd file to be populated by user Additional info:
