Description of Problem: the scsi- and usb-modules didn't load during bootup even specified in /etc/modules.conf with a simple insmod the modules can be loaded Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kernel-2.4.16-0.13 Additional Information (modules.conf): alias scsi_hostadapter aic7xxx
sorry for this bugreport - it works pretty well when you create an initial ramdisk with mkinitrd. Nevertheless we still should provide an initrd-file with the kernel rpm.
we do; rpm -i of the kernel rpm makes an initrd for you
(bug triage; this has worked for a long time)
